âď¸Filling Ingredients:â
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakesâ
1/3 cup dark chocolate chipsâ
1/3 cup butterscotch chipsâ
1 cup chopped walnutsâ
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk or sweetened condensed coconut milkâ
3 small pinches of ground sea saltâ
Once crust is baked no need to wait to cool – start adding layers. Sprinkle tops with coconut flakes then sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips & walnuts.â
â
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over each bar & sprinkle with a little salt.â
â
Place bars back in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are clearly caramelizing and evaporated milk is bubbling a lot. If not cooked long enough bars will be gooey but when cooked enough the sugar milk will caramelize and harden.â
â
Remove from oven & let cool completely. Place them in the freezer for 15 minutes to speed up the process. Enjoy!!!â
